New partnership with Sygic

UK-based route optimisation and fleet scheduling specialist The Algorithm People has signed a partnership agreement with global GPS navigation pioneer Sygic.

The companies are combining their technologies to add more features to My Transport Planner – a unique, pay as you go, online optimisation tool for fleets, which is launching in early 2020.

My Transport Planner will help hauliers, fleet operators and last-mile delivery companies to increase productivity, cut costs and reduce emissions, by planning routes and schedules more efficiently. The platform can also optimise the use of electric vehicles, helping vehicle operators to get the best possible return on investment from EVs.

Through its partnership with Sygic, The Algorithm People will offer enhanced functionality to My Transport Planner including integrated truck satnav and on-device route optimisation. This additionality functionality will enable users to optimise routes in real-time on their mobile device and navigate to their destination while avoiding roads unsuitable for the vehicle.

Sygic’s mapping of electric vehicle charging points means that an EV’s schedule can include a top-up charge during a shift. Furthermore, integration with third-party apps can also provide daily vehicle checks and signature capture for electronic proof of delivery.

In addition to enhancing My Transport Planner’s capabilities for optimising electric vehicles within a wider fleet, it also allows users to communicate accurate estimated times of arrival (ETAs) to their customers and offer planned vs. actual comparisons, creating a compelling proposition for its users.
